The gel is for the relief of pain and inflammation and is not for the relief of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. It does not relieve pain due to inflammation or pain after surgery or injury. It does not relieve arthritis pain or arthritis-related joint pain. It does not relieve back pain. It does not relieve inflammation. Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain does not contain lactose monohydrate, as it may cause side effects on the heart, kidneys and liver. If you have recently had a heart attack or stroke or if you have high blood pressure then Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain should not be used as a first-line treatment for arthritis. It should only be used when a primary care physician has prescribed Voltaren Emulgel Back & Muscle Pain for your needs.
